We have
remodeled everything from the typical carpets/drapes/upholstery
in a micro-mini motorhome to a Suede Leather furniture/European
formica cabinetry sleeper / lounge in a Freightliner car transport
belonging to a race car team. Also, just about everything in between.
The remodeling
concept is simple; remove what you don't want and replace it with
what you do want. The challenge comes when those wants aren't
ordinary or are extreme.
We have
converted Crown school buses into mobile Computer Classrooms with
a 250 amp 30KW generator power supply for local districts. Converted
4106 GMC buses to mobile Dental labs and converted refrigeration
semi trailers to mobile telephone mass dialing command centers.
It had a 6' x 20' slideout stage with steps and railings for Local
99, a large Union used for Union Rallys.
We have
completed 6 motorhome and truck bathroom/5th wheel trailer conversions for a Co. that leases "on
location" production offices/makeup/wardrobe facilities for
the T.V. Commercial making industry.
Our "above
the floor" concept will mean that there will be no major frame
modifications; just reinforcing the sidewall metal (steel or aluminum) framing and
sandwiching the floor for the mechanisms. These mechanisms
are then securely attached to the floor/wall structure. The stroke of such
mechanisms can vary from 16" to 30" depending on the application
(couch, or couch & dinette, or kitchen & couch). The hydraulic
pump still has to be in the compartments, and is controlled by
a switch on the dash.
We
also can incorporate moving the kitchen (sink, stove, M/W and
cabinets) in a 20" slideout. With all these 'above the floor' additions,
we can still maintain a 'flat floor look' by putting the couch
or cabinets in front of the floor thickness.
While
we have to modify the couch and cabinets in the slideout area,
we try to give the most from what we have to work with. The furniture
and cabinets/ doors are remade to match and fit the rest of the
coach. We normally install a Hardwood trim around the interior
lip of the room, which co-ordinates with the decor of the coach.
We can reupholster any furniture that needs upgrading, and make
any window covering/carpeting or floor covering changes to make
the coach look like new.
Our exclusive
cantilever design guarantees a leak-proof, wind-noise proof seal.
The seals are made of neopreme rubber; contouring all sides of
the room, wiping the walls, roof and floor when the room travels
in and out.
We can
make all sorts of floorplan changes/cabinet modifications, up
to and including completely rebuilding the entire coach from the
chassis up. We also do bedroom slideouts and bathroom modifications.
With all
custom modifications, there is a substantial cost to the work.
Most 6 ft. Motorhome slideout conversions will start at about
$18,500, and a 12 ft. or larger slideout will start at about $22,500.
Since there are limited choices for a bus slideout conversion
(Eagle #1, Prevost #2), the cost of those slideout conversions
starts at about $50-55,000.
For the
majority of customers this can mean a SAVINGS of $50- 100,000 difference
over trading up to a coach that has a factory slideout. In most
instances, the sales tax and interest cost of such a trade-up
will about pay for the cost of this conversion.
With over
39 years of personal experience, and a crew of highly trained
and experienced employees, we can complete any conversion to your
complete satisfaction. I hope this will give you more to go on,

Every coach
will change from model year, so it is hard to give a firm estimate
without actually inspecting your coach, although we aren't afraid
to tackle almost anything as long as it is feasible to do.
